Cause at the moment I am sick with fever and our couch and netflix are basically my best friends right now, I though I would list some of my favorite shows for you guys.
Hilarious sitcom where three different, but related families face trials and tribulations in their own uniquely comedic ways. Phil Dunphy, you are my favorite 😀
How I met Your Mother
A father recounts to his children, through a series of flashbacks, the journey he and his four best friends took leading up to him meeting their mother. I guess I was not the only one who was disappointed to how this show ended, right? I think the first 4 seasons were the best ones.
This British drama series follows the lives of the Crawley family and its servants in the family’s classic Georgian country house. I absolutely love this show and if you have not yet watched it, please do so! The costumes, the history, the characters… everything is perfect.
This drama chronicles the life of Queen Elizabeth II from the 1940s to modern times. I have always been fascinated by the Royal Family and I love historical dramas.
After a bad break-up, Jess, an offbeat young woman, moves into an apartment loft with three single men. I love this show, the characters are so great. Sometimes I wish I could be as funny as Schmidt, some of his lines are just out of this world.
Set in a storybook Connecticut town populated by an eclectic mix of dreamers, artists and everyday folk, this multigenerational drama about family and friendship centers around Lorelai Gilmore and her daughter, Rory. A classic feel-good show that I used to watch as a teenager, never gets old.
Jane the Virgin
A young, devout Catholic woman discovers that she was accidentally artificially inseminated in this telenovela style comedy. The drama, the romance and the men!
Who doesn’t love Friends? I have watched it so many times I remember pretty much every line – and I am proud of it 😀
An American teen drama television series based on the book series of the same name written by Cecily von Ziegesar. The series begins with the return of Upper East Side teenage “it girl” Serena van der Woodsen from a “mysterious absence”.
How evil can the characters be, seriously? Why should you watch: the fashion, the soundtrack and the relationships.
The series centers on Ryan Atwood, a troubled but tough young man from a broken home who is adopted by the wealthy and philanthropic Cohen family. This was probably my favorite show when I was a teenager. I remember it started airing in Finland around 2004 when I was 14 years old. Oh how I loved the drama, the romance and the lifestyle. Also the soundtrack is amazing.
The Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt
A woman is rescued from a doomsday cult and starts her life over again in New York City. Season 1 is better than 2, but I recommend watching them both. This show is hilarious!
Master of None
Dating, career, finding a great taco: It’s all hard. But becoming a mature adult is a whole other degree of difficulty. Perfect show for us 20-somethings.
Drama series set in 1890s Newcastle tells the story of a young girl working at the Paradise Department store. If you like historical dramas and beautiful costumes you will enjoy this one.
Will Arnett stars as Chip, a resident of the insular world of Venice Beach, California. Chip presents himself to the world as the go-to guy for personal insights, but secretly he is a recovering alcoholic who struggles with his own baggage, and has a difficult time keeping track of his own deceptions. When a new waitress named London starts working at a local eatery, Chip and his best friend, Dennis, both fall for her. Drama!
A former semi-pro football player returns home to help run the family business with his brother. I love to see Ashton Kutcher back with Danny Masterson, they are so funny.
A white collar criminal agrees to help the FBI catch other white collar criminals using his expertise as an art and securities thief, counterfeiter, and conman.
The show centers around the notorious Colombian cocaine kingpin Pablo Escobar and Steve Murphy, a DEA agent sent to Colombia on a U.S. mission to capture and ultimately kill him. Brutal but very, very interesting.
Winona Ryder plays Joyce Byers, who lives in a small Indiana town in 1983, inspired by a time when tales of science fiction captivated audiences. When Joyce’s 12-year-old son, Will, goes missing, she launches a terrifying investigation into his disappearance with local authorities. Stranger Things acts as an addictive homage to Spielberg films and vintage 1980s television. Can’t wait to see the second season!
What would be on your list? Would love to hear some tips 🙂
